Name: Dang! That's Good Butterscotch Root Beer
My Rating: 10/10
My Review: Where do I start? When I visited Yosemite I was blown away, when I saw the coastal Redwoods for the first time I could not believe how tall the trees were, when I went whale watching and saw creatures as big as the boat we were in I was in awe, and when I tasted Dang! That's Good Butterscotch Root Beer it strengthened my belief in God. Ok, maybe I am going a little over board but you get my point. It is an incredible root beer, and I purchase bottles of it every chance I get. It has a smooth, creamy texture, and the butterscotch flavor compliments the root beer perfectly. It will be hard to find a root beer that tastes better than this brew. However, I am ready for the challenge! Purchased at Pops in Arcadia, OK.

Pops (Arcadia, OK)
Well, it has been quite some time since my last post. I am back now and have lots of root beer to discuss. As of today I have tried over 50 root beers. Reviews of each and everyone will be posted in the coming months.
Today, I would like to talk about where I buy my root beers. Yesterday I spent a little over 6 hours in the car just to get my root beer fix. Yes, I may be a little crazy! Actually, my wife would say I am a lot crazy, but that is something best left for another blog.
I visited Pops in Arcadia, Oklahoma located on historic Route 66. What a glorious place for the soda lover. Over 600 kinds of soda all behind refrigerated doors organized by color: a beautiful rainbow of soda. A wonderful cafe is in inside of Pops as well and the glass walls are decorated with 1,000's of soda bottles. The food is good and of course you can enjoy a cold soda straight from the bottle while you eat. What more could you ask for?

Root Beer Review 15: Deerfield
Name: Deerfield Trading Company
My Rating: 7/10
My Review: Deerfield Trading Company Root Beer (Walgreens brand) has a very good flavor. This brew is made with cane sugar and is sweetened perfectly. I wish this root beer would have had a little bit more bite to it...that would have increased the rating by 1 or 2 numbers. I purchased this root beer at Walgreens in Fayetteville, AR, and would definitely drink it again.

Root Beer Review 14: Jones
Name: Jones Root Beer
My Rating: 7/10
My Review: I was excited about trying Jones root beer. I had seen a special on Unwrapped (Food Network) where they featured Jones soda and their unusual flavors. I enjoyed Jones root beer but I was not blown away. A good brew but not special. It had an overall good root beer flavor...maybe a little on the weak side for my taste. The sweetness was right on (Jones uses nothing but cane sugar in their sodas). The bottles are unique. You never know what picture your bottle will have. You can submit photos to their website and if they like it they just might put it on one of their soda bottles. I purchased Jones Root Beer at Hastings in Fayetteville, AR.

Ingredients: Carbonated Water, Inverted Cane Sugar, Natural And Artificial Flavors, Caramel Color, Phosphoric Acid, Sodium Benzoate And Potassium Sorbate

Root Beer Review 13: Sioux City
Name: Sioux City Root Beer
My Rating: 3/10
My Review: Sioux City Root Beer, plain and simple, did not taste good at all. The brew was too sweet and left a bitter after taste in my mouth. If I had to describe this brew in one word it would have to be 'harsh'. Surprisingly it is not the worst root beer I have tasted...that award still belongs to Bundaberg Australian root beer. I will not be drinking Sioux City Root Beer again. I purchased this brew at Harps Grocery Store in Springdale, AR.
Website: Sioux City
Ingredients: Carbonated Water, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Caramel Color, Sodium Benzoate, Natural and Artificial Flavor, Citric Acid.

Root Beer Review 12: A&P
Name: A&P Premium Draft
My Rating: 7/10
My Review: A&P has a tall head with an overall good flavor. Lots of carbonation. I could really tell this was made with high fructose corn syrup and not cane sugar....not a bad thing but it was distinctive in this brew. I would drink A&P again but would not go out of my way to find it. I purchased A&P at Big Lots in Buena Park, CA.
